Project Summary
For the Argentum project, I had the privilege of designing a website tailored to the specific needs of actors and actresses. Argentum specializes in providing crucial services like headshot photography, small demo reels, and other essential prints for individuals in the entertainment industry. The primary objective was to develop a user-centric platform that not only attracted traffic but also converted visitors into valuable clients.
Problem Summary
Argentum faced a challenge in effectively showcasing their services to the discerning clientele of actors and actresses. The existing website lacked an intuitive user experience, making it difficult for potential clients to navigate and understand the full range of offerings. Additionally, the site's conversion rate was below par, and there was a notable absence of fresh leads.
Please view figma version of the original website here*Please note due to the age of this project, the original version of this website may no longer be available online so it has been recreated in Figma. Therefore some links, images, and other elements might appear broken.
Solution Summary
To address these challenges, I embarked on a comprehensive redesign of the Argentum website. The solution centered around creating an engaging and intuitive user interface (UI) that would captivate visitors from the moment they landed on the site. This involved a strategic restructuring of information architecture, with a focus on highlighting key services such as headshot photography and demo reels. Furthermore, the incorporation of visually appealing elements and a seamless navigation flow was aimed at enhancing the user experience (UX).
In order to increase conversions, I implemented persuasive call-to-action (CTA) elements strategically throughout the site. This included clear prompts for inquiries, booking appointments, and accessing informative resources. Additionally, I integrated a robust contact form and streamlined the checkout process for a hassle-free experience.
Through meticulous attention to detail and a user-centered design approach, the new Argentum website is poised to drive traffic, elevate conversions, and attract new clients to their exceptional services tailored for actors and actresses.

Research Phase
Stakeholder Interviews:
I began by conducting interviews with key stakeholders at Argentum. This included the founders, marketing team, and managers. The goal was to understand their vision, business goals, and their perception of the current website's shortcomings.
User Personas:
Based on the insights gathered from stakeholder interviews, I developed detailed user personas. These personas represented different segments of Argentum's clientele, such as aspiring actors, established actresses, and talent agents. Each persona included demographics, goals, pain points, and behaviors.
Competitive Analysis:
I conducted a thorough analysis of Argentum's competitors in the industry. This involved studying the websites of other photography studios and talent agencies catering to actors and actresses. I identified best practices, as well as areas where Argentum could differentiate itself.
User Surveys:
To gain direct feedback from Argentum's existing clients and potential leads, I created and distributed online surveys. These surveys included questions about their experiences, preferences, and expectations when searching for services like headshot photography and demo reels.
Analytics Review:
I analyzed the existing website's performance using tools like Google Analytics. This provided valuable data on user behavior, popular content, bounce rates, and conversion funnels. It helped identify areas that needed improvement.
Usability Testing:
I conducted remote usability tests with a select group of participants who fit the user personas. They were given specific tasks to perform on the existing website, and their interactions were observed and analyzed for any usability issues or friction points.
Content Audit:
I conducted a thorough audit of the existing content on the website. This involved evaluating the clarity, relevance, and effectiveness of written copy, imagery, and multimedia elements.
Keyword Research:
I performed keyword research to understand what terms and phrases actors and actresses commonly use when searching for services like headshots and demo reels. This information was later used to optimize the website for search engines.

Testing
-
Test Planning and Prototyping
I conducted thorough functional testing to ensure that all interactive elements on the website, such as buttons, forms, navigation menus, and links, worked correctly. This involved checking for any bugs or errors in the code.
I began by outlining a comprehensive test plan, defining the testing objectives, and selecting the target audience based on user personas developed earlier in the project.
